Lincoln College announced on March 30 that it will be closing after the spring 2022 semester
ROCKFORD, Ill. (Apr. 11, 2022) – Rockford University, the region’s leading private four-year educational institution, has been designated as a partner school that will support Lincoln College students seeking to continue their college career. The Lincoln, Ill.-based college announced on March 30, 2022 that it would be permanently closing after the conclusion of its spring semester.
To ease the burden on students, a transition team of Rockford University faculty and staff has been formed to provide counsel to students transferring from Lincoln College undergraduate, degree-completion, and graduate programs. In collaboration with Rockford University’s registrar, faculty have identified continuous curricular paths that will enable Lincoln College students to graduate on time and well-prepared to enter the job market or continue on to graduate school.
“The primary focus of our transition team is Lincoln College students and the continuation of their academic careers,” said Dr. Michael Quinn, Vice President for Enrollment Management at Rockford University. “We have faculty and staff experts ready to assist students and families.”
To further ease the transition, Rockford University will ensure that Lincoln College students’ costs to attend college remain unchanged.
“The Rockford University campus community extends its thoughts and support to Lincoln College students, faculty, and staff as they work through this difficult situation,” said Dr. Eric Fulcomer, President of Rockford University. “We understand this is a challenging time and are committed to helping Lincoln College students and their families as they make decisions about their future educational path.”
Rockford University’s transition team will be on-site at a transition event at Lincoln College on April 14 to help students navigate their next steps.
