About the Role

As the Director of Operations, you will oversee all aspects of our campus operations. From strategic planning for large-scale capital projects to ensuring our infrastructure supports a vibrant and sustainable educational environment, your role will be at the core of our mission. You’ll manage critical operations, including maintenance, housekeeping, groundskeeping, and dining services, while driving innovation in sustainability and resource management.

What You’ll Do

• Lead with Purpose: Oversee all operations, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and professional growth.
• Plan Boldly: Develop strategic plans for capital projects, campus renovations, and sustainability initiatives that position Rockford University as a leader in environmental responsibility.
• Engage Proactively: Collaborate with students, faculty, and staff to ensure operations exceed expectations, enhancing campus life.
• Drive Operational Excellence: Manage budgets, optimize resources, and spearhead innovative solutions for cost efficiency and operational effectiveness.
• Stay Ready: Lead emergency preparedness efforts and respond to critical needs with agility and confidence.

Who You Are

• A seasoned leader with 5-7 years of progressive Operations Management experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role (higher education experience is a plus).
• A deep knowledge of facilities operations, construction management, and sustainability practices.
• A good communicator and collaborator who can engage with diverse stakeholders, from students to executives.
• A problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can handle critical situations with ease.
• Passionate about sustainability, innovation, and creating an inclusive environment.
