Emily Webb joined the Chemical & Biological Sciences Department in Fall 2021 after finishing her Ph.D. at Arizona State University. She primarily teaches anatomy and physiology but is also interested in developing courses related to education, linking science with pop culture, and programming (R, Python) in biology. While Emily is new to the Rockford area, she already loves the many forest preserves where she can go on walks and see lots of great birds. Emily's research interests include bird physiology (carotenoids, coloration, digestion, nutrition), and biology education.
