About/Bio Coach Kalama Kaluhiokalani arrived at Rockford University after completing a successful season at St. Norbert college as the Defensive Line Coach where the defense held opposing teams to less than 100 yards rushing and less than 1 Rushing TD average per game. The Green Knights also finished the season with a 7-3 record and competed in the Lakefront Cousin Subs Bowl.
Previously Coach Kalama completed three seasons at Utah Tech University. He functioned as the offensive assistant offensive line coach with the Trailblazers, served as the Video Coordinator, Assistant to the DFO and the Player Personnel over Academics. Coach Kalama also received his Master's Degree in Accounting.
Coach Kalama played Defensive Line collegiately at Brigham Young University for then Head Coach Bronco Mendenhall and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting in 2013.
Following his graduation from BYU, he worked as an accountant for 10+ years for several companies, including Goldman Sachs, Phytomer Corporation, Solera Holdings and Grace Pacific LLC.
