About/Bio Associate Professor of Kinesiology, Dr. Headley joined Rockford University as an associate professor Fall 2019. She completed her undergraduate degree at Lakeland College, Sheboygan Wisconsin, 1984 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Recreation Administration with a minor in Coaching and Administration. She received her Master of Sport Science degree in Fitness Management from the United States Sports Academy, Mobile Alabama in 1985. Headley received her Master of Science in Health Service Administration from the University of St. Francis in 1997. Her Ph.D. in Leisure Behavior was awarded from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 2009 with the dissertation “Examination of N’Balance, a Community-Based Fall Prevention Intervention for Older Adults”. Headley has worked in mental health and higher education. She enjoys working with people, spending time with her family, and following the Chicago Cubs.
