Tina has over 27 years of accounting experience, is a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) and a CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), and holds a degree in Accounting from Northern Illinois University as well as an MBA from Rockford University. She is nearing completion of her PhD degree in Organizational Leadership from Concordia University – Chicago and brings a vast amount of experience to the classroom, including public accounting, external auditing, tax preparation, internal auditing, and a focus on not-for-profit and educational organizations. Tina joined Rockford University in 2005 as the Director of Finance while also teaching accounting courses as an adjunct instructor. She spent the next 14 years as the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Business at RU, and in 2019 transitioned to a full-time accounting professor for the Puri School of Business. Tina is a board member of the Prairie Hill School District and enjoys spending time with her husband (also a RU graduate and adjunct instructor) and two daughters.
