The 2019-20 Rockford University academic year will begin with a formal convocation and remarks by President Eric W. Fulcomer as he discusses his talk titled “More than Gossip”. Inspired by a summer trip with his daughter to New York City, President Fulcomer will highlight a recent renewed interest in the hallmark CW Network TV show, Gossip Girl, as a backdrop to chronicle the lives of RU Alumni as motivation for students as they approach the academic year. 

Held since 1851, this longtime tradition includes a faculty procession in full academic regalia.
