Assistant Teaching Professor of Sociology

Rockford University invites applicants for a full-time Assistant Teaching Professor (non-tenure-track) of Sociology, to begin August 2025.  Ph.D. preferred (ABD considered).  The Assistant Teaching Professor will teach 15 credit hours (five 3-credit-hour courses) per semester.  The preferred candidate should have teaching experience, preferably in a college setting, and will be able to teach introduction to sociology, research methodology (qualitative and quantitative); race and ethnicity, family, deviance, and sociological theory. Applicants who are also able to teach courses in criminal justice will be preferred.  Enthusiasm for teaching in a small-university liberal arts setting is essential.
