Rockford University invites applications for part-time instructors of first-year composition in the Department of English, to begin teaching in Spring 2025. We also seek qualified instructors for a pool of part-time adjuncts to be called on when future staffing needs arise.

Requirements: Ph.D., A.B.D., or M.A., preferably in rhetoric and composition, and minimum two years’ experience teaching college-level writing at regionally accredited institutions of Higher Education. We are especially interested in candidates who are dedicated to issues of linguistic justice and candidates with experience teaching first-year writing to developing writers.

Review of applications will start immediately. Interested candidates should e-mail (via a single .pdf) a curriculum vitae, cover letter, sample syllabi, list of three professional references and all related transcripts (official transcripts upon hire) to HumanResources@rockford.edu.
