Modern Languages

The Languages, Philosophy, Religion, and Cultures department offers a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish, as well as various minors as listed below.

Placement Exam
A placement exam may be required for those students with previous modern & classical language experience.

Religious Studies

Religious studies is an interdisciplinary minor. At least nine hours of the minor in religious studies must carry the religious studies (RELG) designation, and at least one course must be taken at the 300-level. A total of 18 hours, nine (9) of which must be taken at Rockford University, and an earned 2.0 GPA in the courses appropriate to the minor are required for graduation.

Philosophy

Students pursuing a Philosophy degree can expect to develop knowledge, skills, and values transferable to every facet of human life. The department currently offers a minor in philosophy. A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required for the minor.

The Ancient and Medieval Studies Minor provides students with a balanced and varied combination of coursework about ancient and medieval cultures, languages, and civilizations.
